About Julie Alderdice

Drama Teacher – BSPA Belfast PM

Julie has a Diploma in Dramatic Art from The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and also graduated with a Diploma in Acting and Musical Theatre from Hertfordshire Theatre School, and has attended Musical Theatre Workshops with Cathy Heller-Jones in New York. She is a private Acting and Musical Theatre tutor.

Julie has appeared in a number of plays including People of Gallagher Street, A Lady of Letters, Lady of Lockspur Lotion, Something Unspoken, Belfast by Moonlight, Faraway, The Witches and Oh What a Lovely War) and musicals (including Power of the Musical, An Evening of Song, Swonderful Smarvellous, Les Miserables, Sondheim, Rapunzel, Into the Woods, The Sound of Music, and Evita).

Television credits include BBC Spotlight, Cracking Crime (RTE), Dry Your Eyes, and Give My Head Peace. She has also appeared in television commercials and has voice over experience. Most recently she has directed for the National Theatre Connections Festival.

Julie is delighted to be working with the students at BSPA and to help them experience the fun and thrill of acting.
