BSPA Voices is a trained choir that was formed in September 2019 due to an increasing demand for BSPA pupils to perform at high profile events such as “Responsible Business Awards” among others. It was also an opportunity to provide good choral singing to pupils with an interest in singing and a thirst to develop good choral and performance technique.
Ashley Fulton, Northern Ireland’s leading Vocal Coach and Musical Director with 20 years professional experience was the obvious choice to mentor this new choir, auditioned from pupils across all our BSPA schools.
With Ashley’s reputation for perfection and excellence, the pupils are receiving the best of tuition and the reputation of the choir has resulted in many corporate and charity engagements, with performances in St Anne’s Cathedral and Ulster Museum and several events that sadly have been postponed this year due to COVID-19.
The highlight last year for the choir was when they joined Peter Corry and his guests Barbara Dickson and Patrick Smyth in the wonderful setting of St Anne’s Cathedral for “ Christmas at the Cathedral”. What fabulous memories for our pupils and we look forward to many more in the future.
Auditions are generally held twice a year, if you would be interested in being part of BSPA Voices contact firstname.lastname@example.org for details of the next auditionsEnquire Now
“I auditioned for BSPA voices because of my love for singing and performing. For me, I love to see and hear the progress we make with our pieces, when we are on stage it feels magical. With BSPA Voices I have gained opportunities like no other, with performing at the Cathedral Ball and the Ulster Museum and finally in December with Christmas at the Cathedral with Barbara Dickson and Patrick Smyth.”
“These are experiences that will last a lifetime.”
“I adored performing at St. Anne’s Cathedral for the Gala dinner and Peter Corry’s Christmas at the Cathedral. At first I was a little timid at being one of the youngest at age 8, but Ashley, Tina and all the team made BSPA Voices a place that I just love to be.
“I cannot wait to go back!”
“I have the very special opportunity in my career to work as a vocal coach and singing teacher with many unique and different voices every day.
It is, and has been, my privilege to be able to teach and mentor many of the most talented young people in this country and to develop their vocal techniques and skills. When I was asked to be the director of BSPA Voices I was absolutely delighted and grasped the opportunity. Collectively these young voices produce a wonderful sound and have excelled in performances to date.
I very much look forward to what the future holds for BSPA Voices”.
