Ciara Power

Ciara trained in Musical Theatre at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, after a degree in German and Music at King’s College London – where she was also a choral scholar.

Since graduating, she has worked – alongside her performance career in the UK, Ireland and abroad – as a performing arts teacher, in the disciplines of drama, dance and singing. She was a regular teacher Jigsaw Performing Arts in London for 5 years, and has been teaching with Belfast School of Performing Arts for the last 4 years, as well as covering classes and workshops with many companies and outreach programs in Belfast and London.

She aims to bring lots of fun to each class, and hopes student can help develop their expression and confidence through the arts. Performance credits have included UK tours of Jane Austen’s ‘Emma’ (title role), Oscar Wilde’s ‘An Ideal Husband’ (Lady Chiltern) and ‘Treasure Island’, German tours of ‘The World of Musicals’, Thursford Christmas Spectacular,  Peter Corry’s NI tour of ‘Thank You For The Musicals’ and even sailing the seven seas for two contracts as a Vocalist with Viking Cruises abd more recently in guest entertainer spots with the classical crossover trio Bella Popera.
