About David-Michael Johnson

David-Michael Johnson–or  DMJ as his friends call him,  is from Columbus, Ohio.

While still a student at New York University he was a featured performer at Radio City Music Hall. Soon after he appeared on Broadway in Porgy and Bess and  Singin’ In the Rain.

Internationally he`s  appeared in Starlight Express, playing the role of Electra in Japan, Australia, and  Germany, and  Jesus Christ Superstar, in which he played the roles of Simon and Judas.

DMJ has appeared in the Original German casts of  Miss Saigon (as John),  Dreamgirls (as CC),  RENT (as Tom Collins), and WE WILL ROCK YOU (as Brit),

STAIRWAYS TO HEAVEN (as Gabriel), and MOTOWN – The Legends.

DMJ has sung in concerts and galas worldwide. His favorites:The Hal Prince Tribute  (Munich Philharmonic), The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber (Scandanavian Tour, Danish Radio Orchestra),  An Evening with Tim Rice (Barbados, London), One  Enchanted Evening (Dublin), Chess in Concert  (London), and Stage Entertainment’s Best Of Musical Gala Tour (Germany). He was also soloist for theThe Night of A Thousand Voices  concert series at London’s famed Royal Albert Hall.
