Acting Through Song Workshop – 3rd/10th/17th/31st March 2022

Artistic Director Peter Corry and Adam Darcy (BSPA Belfast South and Lisburn PM) will be taking a four week course focusing on getting the most out of performing musical theatre songs.

They will focus on characterisation, storytelling and singing technique. The course will look at many aspects for a young performer, from stage presence to character development. Talk about how to approach a song and develop your performance.

Age: 12 – 19 years ( open to all)

Dates: Thursday evenings from 3-24th February

Venue: Belfast Operatic Company Premises, Heron Road, BT3 5 LE. These will be small classes of 10 people approx so limited space is available.

Cost: £100 for full course. Workshops will be one hour and times will be confirmed once numbers are know

Peter Corry has a huge amount of experience as a professional singer, director and producer. He has worked on the West End stage and performed and directed productions that have toured the USA and Europe. His production company is the leading professional production company in N Ireland. He is looking forward to sharing his knowledge, experience and passion for musical theatre with those taking the course.

Adam Darcy is a sought after Musical Director and Vocal Coach with extensive experience coaching young people. He loves working with students, helping them to clearly realise their vocal potential, discovering how to creatively engage with technique and ultimately communicate to an audience.

The course will be invaluable to anyone wanting to improve their performance skills.
