Aine McConvey

Aine McConvey

Aine has had a passion for drama from a young age and is delighted to be joining the BSPA teaching team. Having first joined BSPA as a student at the age of 13, she has remained involved with the school in one way or another ever since. Returning as a teacher is a full-circle moment, and she is excited to inspire the next generation of young performers.

She studied Drama throughout school, during which time she also achieved a Diploma in Musical Theatre. Aine then went on to complete a First Class Honours degree in Drama at Queen’s University Belfast before completing her teacher training and beginning her career as a drama teacher.

As a performer, Aine has worked with a variety of theatre companies, most notably BSPA and Belfast Operatic Company. These opportunities have allowed her to perform in some of Northern Ireland’s most prestigious venues, including the Millennium Forum, the Waterfront Hall and the Grand Opera House. Alongside performing, she has directed productions in schools and with Queen’s Musical Theatre Society, sharing her love of theatre both on and off the stage.

She is thrilled to be back at BSPA, where her own love of theatre first flourished, and looks forward to helping the next generation create wonderful memories, grow in confidence and discover a lifelong love of the performing arts.
